All members, non-members and guests are cordially invited to join a visit to Da Chan Bay Terminal and Qianhai with details of the visit as set out below:

 Date      :6 June 2015 (Saturday)

Rendezvous8:15 am at the front gate of Sheung Wan Western Market

(the door at Connaught Road)

Itinerary

10:30 am – 11:15 am  ---  visit Da Chan Bay Terminal

12:00 noon – 2:00 pm  ---  lunch    

 2:30 pm afterward  ---  visit Qianhai

 Return : 4:00 pm  

Charge For members HKD 450/person, for non-members HKD 700/person

(including travelling expenses, lunch)

The Da Chan Bay Terminal is strategically situated in Bao An District, Western Shenzhen. The Terminal One is configured and equipped with the latest technology. It delivers a full portfolio of vessel-operation and container-related services. Da Chan Bay Terminal One e-Port is a web-based solution providing a one-stop platform for the port community. Leveraging on the latest Internet technology, it enables port users and customer shipping lines to access round-the-clock, real-time information about their containers and vessels at the Terminal.

Qianhai is situated in the Pearl River Delta which covers an area of approximately 15

square kilometers. With the completion of railways and roads by 2020, Qianhai will serve

as the pilot district for cooperation between mainland China and Hong Kong and innovation

in the service industry, it undertakes four functions : An area that will aim to facilitate

innovation in the modern service industry, an area that will aim to become a hub of modern

services and modern service development, a pilot area for closer cooperation between mainland

China and Hong Kong, a facilitator in the industrial reform and sustainable economic

development of the Pearl River Delta. The main arteries of traffic in the region, including the         

Shenzhen-Zhongshan corridor, Shenzhen Western Port, Shenzhen North Station and Guangzhou-

Shenzhen Yanjiang Highway all pass through Qianhai.
